Michelle Dovey, the owner and chief designer/artist of Beyond the Norm… Designs Originated Fort Lauderdale Florida, then relocated to Hollywood, California for 2 years. In 201o, I got married and soon after had a baby which brought myself and family back to my roots here in South Florida. While in California, I worked with Guerin Design and Development www.guerindesign.com, who has completed multiple projects on the famous Sunset Strip, many prestigious commercial projects, including the W Hotel, and numerous celebrity homes.
I have offered my professional services since the mid 1990’s. As art and
design have always been my number one passion, it inevitably became a lifestyle
and career move. I am constantly furthering my education in design and in the art of
decorative painting and faux finishing, while always staying current in design styles
from traditional to the most contemporary.
I specialize in design, faux & decorative painting, plaster textures, custom painted murals, color consultation and space planning. however these are just a few of the services BTN ... Designs has to offer.
